In 1843 in Florence, thanks to the commitment of about 400 illustrious Florentine citizens and important personalities from the cultural and artistic world, the "Società Promotrice delle Belle Arti" was born.
The main objective of this institution was the promotion and affirmation of the cult of the Arts and Design in its various manifestations.
