Inspiration behind the work: The legend of the Dragon of Santa Fiora who lived in the woods of Amiata in the second half of the 15th century; in the sacristy of the Church of the Trinity, in the locality of La Selva, a reptile jaw is on display to reinforce the testimony This fascinating legend inspired me to create a material work that would stand out from the skin of the dragon.

Characteristics of the work: The colors are gold and its shades, the tone is luminous, a sensation of warmth, energy and majesty dominates; the front part of the composition enjoys irregular realistic reliefs, the sides are characterized by colors darker greenish reminiscent of the belly of the dragon. As a whole it communicates an image of strength and splendor accentuated by a very special frame, created with ancient woods of a few hundred years and embellished with a soft gilding. This work was developed together with the work `` Tree of the Sun ''

Comments of the artist: The objects have a memory and reach a degree of experience like people, the work visited the Trinity Church where the dragon's jaw is exposed, it was bathed in the water of the papal fountain close to it of the convent. He visited the abbey of San Galgano traveled during his first months with the artist between Japan and Italy.Born in the rising sun and matured in the Italian sun, the dragon's work can now be caressed and admired in its splendor.

Art enriches life and its ultimate function is to make people happier. `` Be inspired by myths and legends to create objects with their own memory and strength '' Francesco Mazzi
