Material used: Oil paint on canvas panel of 50x100cm thickness 3.8, plaster, material / structuring pastes, silver, platinum, 24k gold, special pigments, resin-based paints. Frame made with the Japanese Paulownia tree, known as kiri, also called "princess tree" sacred wood, symbol of good luck. The finish is made with Italian paints, the color was created following different shades: copper and aging patinas, the beaten effect made by hand, the frame band measures about 8 cm, the frame size about 67x116cm
Inspiration behind the work: The rock carvings on natural totems, the birches, the human collective memory expressed through primitive alphabet codes, the moon.
Characteristics of the work: This work describes several tree trunks that seem to float without a reference point, different in shape and height, characterized by a symbolism of reliefs reminiscent of an ancient code. The colors, metallic blue, silver, gold and bronze burnt recall the colors of the moon phases.
Artist's comments: The propitiatory petroglyphs meet the reliefs of the metal age.Birch in Celtic beliefs opens the way to reach the abode of the Gods, it is the tree of rebirth and new beginning, it is associated to the moon and the night.
